Celebration for Nic
The four of us met to eat again... but with a purpose this time: Nic got his bike licence! *Congrats congrats*
Wanted to bring them to the zi char stall oppo TJC, try out something new but we met quite late... bout 8.30pm? DD feared that stall might be closed then so decided to go back Market 85. Lol
This time we ordered the chicken wings! yummy! Didn't do so the other time because i was sick *cough cough*Anw the chicken wings are still as good as ever! haha Also ordered the carrot cake... delivered piping hot! The last time we went they gave us cold carrot cake =.= The char kway teow was gd also just that i still miss the one oppo TJC! That one is all time fav... =D DD ate the famous porridge (with century egg x.x) while Nic tried the Hong Kong mee.... Think the mee was not very nice but the serving was certainly big... lol (see pix below).
This round's new addtion: Rojak.
Don't know if Nic specially ordered it to be all you tiao or it's like that originally... well it suits mi! I only eat you tiao in rojak.. haha but there are way too much you tiao sia! Overeat again... lol
Missing: Stingray!
Chan BBQ was closed by the time we got there! =(

Our table of yummy food! Too bad I didn't manage to take pix of Nic.. booo....
Monthsary @ New York New York
Been wanting to dine here for very long... finally there was no Q this time.... lol probably due to the fact that I reached there at bout 9? Anw the food is not bad! Ate the pasta with crispy fish... a pity it wasn't spag... think it's fettucine... boo... the price is pretty affordable... guess I'll go again.. haha Oh yahz... we ordered the buffalo wings... it was big and crispy! But we're too full to finish it... in the end took away... lol DD tinks the Pizza Hut drumlets taste better... hmm diff cooking methods bahz...

Had 311 meeting in the day.... DD was so tired.... ate till he fell aslp... lol

Green apple candy floss! Delighted by the flavor.. lol
Outdoor Adventurous!
Went trekking at Macritchie! lol Guess noone would believe I actually did that... hahaha Anw DD was late for 45mins!!! boo...

Our destination
it was 5+km frm the place we start trekking... *sweatz* Saw 3 monkeys swinging on the trees on our way up... lol other than that nth exciting except mayb for the accompanying butterflies... climbing climbing walking walking.... up slope down slope up slope.....

Finally! On top of the HSBC bridge... touched leaves which have velvety feel... Didnt see any animals though... it was a blessing that we nv see ani flying snakes... but where are all the squirrels?! =( oh yahz we saw the chng teng (qing tang) plant! lol tink the seeds of that tree can be used to cooked chng teng or sth like that.. The view was not as spectacular as I thought just that we can see the tree top real close... Kinda miss Jiu Fen shan...
After crossing the bridge it was time to go back alrdy.... long long stairs before we arrived at the crossroads: to go back to our starting point which was 5km away or go over to bkt timah hill (dist unknown). I chose the latter, naively thinking it was a shorter dist... that's when my adventure started....

Bleak "future" awaits... look at the endless road... =.=

DD in his sexy shorts lol
We had to cross a small stream... walked through durian loop and don't know what trails... I just know it was a long long long walk.... My leg hurts from all the walking, up slope and then down then up again... =.= Why didn't I just tk the route back? *sniff sniff* After walking for about 10KM we finally reached a place whereby DD said there's a nearby bus stop to his house! Woah! Can't wait to run to the bus stop!!! desperately needa rest my feet... in the end the bus stop was still quite a dist frm where we were.. =.= but it was at least better than if we had to walked up bkt timah hill lol had a few mins rest at the bus stop b4 DD pushed mi on to Boon Tong Kee where we had our lunch... haha bt don't know why don't have much appetite... cldnt even finish the plate of rice but the fried tofu is very nice!!! v smooth in the inside and crispy on the outside! lol after lunch, to my horror... one of my shoes is spoilt!!!! T.T think the trekking must have been too tough for it to handle... lucky DD gt bring a pair of slippers... lol
Cultural Appreciation
After the streneous exercise in the day, it was time for some cultural activites... lol b4 tt was dnr at Imperial Treasure... Wonder if it's affiliated to Crystal Jade, the menu items were 90% similar! lol Anw the Xiao Long Bao there is a must try! The meat in the xiao long bao is very tender and juicy with a nice fragrance to it... the soup is so so sweet! Not to forget the thin soft skin... simply yummylicious! Nicer than CJ! But maybe because we ate it hot... lol Wana go bac there for more Xiao Long Bao! haha the ramen were similar to CJ though... Afterthat went to Esplande theatre to watch Forbidden City! Haiz... wish I was a rich girl! We bought the cheapest tix so had restricted view and were on level 3. Although we could tilt our seats such that we can see the stage quite well, still envious of those who were sitting right at the foyer... $.$ Nonetheless it was a good show... glad that I caught it! ^^

In the theatre
Didnt dare to turn on the flash light... lol
